Abstract
Neurofibromas are benign nerve sheath tumors arising from Schwann cells and fibroblasts. They are commonly associated with NF1 (Neurofibromatosis Type 1) a genetic disorder with a birth incidence of about 1 in 3000 individuals. Chest wall neurofibroma is a relatively rare benign tumor, with a low incidence compared to other chest tumors. The specific incidence rate for anterior chest wall neurofibromas is not explicitly detailed in the search results; however, only a few cases have been reported.[1]
This report discusses a case of a large benign neurofibroma of the anterior chest wall in a 39-year-old male, highlighting its clinical presentation, radiological features, surgical approach, and histopathological findings.
